Making Nonviolent Revolution

As we try to figure out how to make a revolution today, there are things we can learn from the positive sides of the 1917 Russian Revolution (large parts of which were nonviolent, including the most important stages of the October Revolution) and from nonviolent revolutionaries such as lesbian poet Barbara Deming and working-class gay activist George Lakey. Peace News has been committed to revolutionary nonviolence for decades. This workshop will be run by Milan Rai. Editor of Peace News, Milan is the author of Chomsky's Politics (Verso, 1995) and 1917: The Nonviolent Russian Revolution (Peace News Press, 2017).
