Anarchist Bookfair In London 2023
Sat 7 October, 11-5pm
It's almost anarchist christmas!
We've got six venues participating, all in the same area of East London:
You can find the stalls and the kids space at Richmix, with a range of radical book sellers, campaigns and groups. A great opportunity to learn what's going on in the science, catch up with comrades and pick up the latest seditious literature hot off the press.
Just across the road from Richmix, Common Press, London's first consciously intersectional bookshop, will have workshops including one by a Glaswegian libertarian left choir and one on setting up trans mutual aid networks.
Then down Brick Lane, Freedom Bookshop and Angel Alley will host the zine fair, a chance to check out the wierd and wonderful world of grassroots self-published comics and pamphlets.
Next door at Whitechapel Gallery there will be a series of workshops and discussions, including Earth First, Alarm phone and talks by Selma James and Anarchist Black Cross - Belarus.
Just five mins away the London Activist Resource Centre (LARC), and Toynbee Community Centre will also have workshops, covering autonomous gyms, Palestine solidarity and food justice.
To finishing things off there will be two sick after-parties:
Kicking it off at 8pm at Richmix, with punk, wierdo-pop, grunge and techno. Headlined by notorious two-bit rave-punk band Killdren.
Then for those want to continue on into the night and write off next week, with any luck the customary filthy squat party will emerge.
